Susan’s introduction into the world of finance and the start of her professional career began in 1976. She believes that with so many options available to consumers, the investment process can be overwhelming. Her many years in this industry and the in-depth knowledge of both the investment and insurance worlds, allow her to work with individuals and families to create strategies for their financial future. Susan’s process focuses on two key principles: understanding her clients’ core values and educating them about investments and risk protection. She believes these are the critical components that allow her to help guide them in creating a plan and work towards their goals.
Susan began her professional life working at her father’s insurance agency. After six years, she moved away from the family business and joined Security First Group, focusing on the State of Florida’s Deferred Compensation Plan. She quickly went from an administrative office position to licensed field representative. Security First was acquired by MetLife Securities who was then subsequently purchased by Mass Mutual. After being with the same organization for most of her career, Susan realized she wanted to work with a company that offered her the needed support and held the same passion as her for the K-12 retirement planning market. In 2021, she made the decision to join ABMM Financial. Susan says that “coming to work with ABMM feels like coming home”.

Susan lives in Tallahassee, FL. She is a proud mom to her two boys and grandma to five grandchildren. She is an active member of the Extra Point Club, a woman’s organization that supports athletics at Florida State University. In her spare time, she enjoys working in the yard, watching FSU sports and most of all watching her grandkids softball and soccer games. Susan’s daughter-in-law, Brandie Fristoe, works with her as her office manager.
