Operations Specialist

ABMM Financial is an Independent Marketing Organization (IMO) working in the field of financial services. We specialize in the distribution and implementation of retirement planning programs for public school, municipal and non-profit employees. Additionally, we provide a wide array of financial products and services, including mutual funds, insurance and annuities, college and estate planning and retirement distribution strategies.

The Operations Specialist is a full-time position.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

This position will primarily manage the regulatory requirements for ABMM as outlined by FINRA. These responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining books and records for financial advisors.  This is a great opportunity to get a thorough introduction to the financial services industry. 

  • Train advisors on operational compliance with their office books and records
  • Assist with regulatory exams and audit requests
  • Maintain branch files

  • Maintain client files

  • Address day-to-day advisor inquiries

  • Support department projects and initiatives as necessary

 

Candidate Qualifications

  • Highly organized, capable of prioritizing and multi-tasking projects

  • Strong, professional interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

  • Proven project management skills

  • Ability to learn and work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency

  • Must be comfortable working on a team

 

Candidate Requirements

  • College degree or higher

  • One year of experience in financial services with an emphasis on back office operations

  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Industry licenses preferred but not required (Series 6 or 7)
